Passion For Shipping!

Tom Bebbington discovered his passion for ships, and shipping, during the ferry crossings to France on his childhood summer holidays.

Originally from the UK and based in Singapore for the last 10 years, that passion for shipping burns as strongly as ever. Since kicking off his seagoing career as a deck cadet with P&O Nedlloyd at the age of 18, Tom has spent the last 20 years traversing the globe within the Maritime Industry.

He has been at the forefront of major operational and digital transformation projects with many of the worlds leading shipping lines and terminal operators. Most notably, through a collaboration with Maersk Line and APM Terminals during his time in Denmark, he helped to realise over $400 million USD in annual savings, through innovative thinking and new ways of working to benefit both parties.

​

An avid public speaker with a love of sharing the knowledge he has built up over the past 20 years, Tom runs training sessions for senior industry players as well as those who are completely new to the maritime sector.

When not working, Tom is a keen photographer, (novice) python developer and 'slave' to his four cats!
